City Hall Construction Project
In October 2006 the City Council selected a 1.13 acre parcel at the northwest corner of Harbour Pointe Blvd SW and Cyrus Way as the preferred site for a new City Hall Building.
In March 2007 the Council selected a design option so that alternatives could be developed and a City Hall Design Committee was formed for the purpose of making recommendations to the Council regarding design issues associated with the new City Hall. Committee meetings are scheduled as needed and open to the public. For additional information on meeting times and locations go to the City Hall Design Committee page.
At a Public Hearing on June 4, 2007, the Council approved a schematic design that will incorporate LEED and Essential Public Facilities standards.
Key Dates for the project are:
March 19 - May 21, 2007: Schematic Design - advance one concept for development
May 24 - Sept 3, 2007: Design Development - advance final design for construction
Sept 3 - Dec 31, 2007 Construction Docs
Jan 1 - Feb 11, 2008: Bid and Award
Feb 12 - Dec 15, 2008: Construction
